Recent Impact
Screaming in Silence
The Brittany Clardy Foundation partnered with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Ujima: The National Center on Violence Against Women in the Black Community, the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence (MNADV), and DC Justice Lab to convene Screaming in Silence, a national initiative focused on addressing the crisis of Missing and Murdered Black Women and Girls (MMBWG).
Bringing together impacted families, survivors, advocates, researchers, and policy leaders from across the country, the convening centered on the development of model state laws and policy solutions designed to improve prevention, accountability, public safety, victim services, and coordinated responses to violence. The initiative amplified the voices of Black women, families, and communities most impacted while advancing collective action to address systemic gaps that contribute to disappearances, exploitation, trafficking, and homicide.
Screaming in Silence reflects the Brittany Clardy Foundation’s commitment to transforming lived experience into policy change, ensuring that families are heard, communities are supported, and systems are held accountable.
Let’s Work Together
Collaborating for the safety of Black women and girls is essential in promoting a more just and equitable society. By working together, we can create a supportive environment where Black women and girls can thrive without fear of violence or discrimination. It is important to listen to their experiences, amplify their voices, and advocate for policies that protect their safety and well-being. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that every Black woman and girl feels valued, respected, and safe in our communities.
