Marquita Clardy, the mother of Brittany Clardy has faced unimaginable challenges and heartache following her daughter's tragic death. Her strength and resilience in the face of such a devastating loss are admirable. Despite the pain and sorrow, she must endure, she continues to honor Brittany's memory with the creation of The Brittany Clardy Foundation. Marquita and family built the foundation to empower women to build their self-worth, achieve their goals, that lead to sustainable healthy lives.

Marquita is a force to be reckoned with as the Minnesota Hope Chapter lead of POMC (Parents of Murdered Children, a national coalition). In this position she supports families who are also victims to homicide, or the attempt of. Marquita’s enduring love and commitment to her daughter's legacy are undoubtedly profound, she continues to volunteer at Brittany’s Place, offering opportunities for volunteers to give back in such an impactful way.

The State of Minnesota’s Task Force for Missing and Murdered African American Women and Girls is chaired by Lakeisha, with the duty of the completion of a legislative report. Lakeisha has a strong history in building relationships, advocacy, mentorship, community partnerships, and public speaking. Lakeisha's exceptional leadership qualities, coupled with her empathy and steadfast resolve, truly set her apart as a deserving figure worthy of admiration and celebration.
